The cpu utilization for both processes is not stuck at 100% it is variable just as it always is.
Is the *server* at 100% CPU usage -- you mentioned "using enormous amounts of process time."
Or is the only symptom that people can not send/receive E-mail?
The total log file size for about a week was 1.5+ gig.
Are you using custom log files? The default log files are daily log files.
I have talked to ipswitch and they said you need to keep the logs removed out of the spool directory.
If they are that large, you do need to do something with them.
But we need more information. For example, you keep mentioning the 1.5 gig log file -- but is that normal? We now know that it is for a week, not a day, which makes more sense. But, if you normally see 100M of log files a week, you've definitely got a problem.
