In the line from the log that I placed below the X.X.X.X was the address of the anti-virus gateway. Am I right in assuming that it is checking to see if our av gateway's address is in the blacklist. If that is the case is it really going to be able to tell when a message comes that really is from a blacklisted IP?
Unfortunately, very few anti-spam programs will work with gateways and backup mailservers. To do that, you need an advanced anti-spam program (such as our Declude JunkMail, which was the first anti-spam program to support gateways and backup mailservers).
