Test rule with string demo.exe returns FALSE ?

Bug or ??

Not a bug; just a limitation of filters. Depending on how your mail client creates the attachment, there are a number of different ways the MIME headers can be formed (if MIME is used -- there are other ways of encoding attachments, too). The above filter will catch most viruses with .exe files, but not all.
