Hello,
Which logs would be of
use in decifering this problem? A very small group of our customers are
reporting the same problem and we can't isolate it any one thing. Any help on
this matter is appreciated.
Thank you,
Noe

Again, time to
break out the logs.
People, we can not
go around and blindly say this is at fault or that is at
fault.
You need to do your
homework. That is what the logs are for.
IF you do not
understand them, at the very least, post them, as others do and can help
decipher them.

It happened to me on
3 machines at the same time on Saturday AM. It corrrected itself after several
reboots. I didn't associate it with 8.02 - but do now.

Reported to me in
just last few days since semester has cranked up. 8.02 patch has been on
almost since the day it was released. This is not happening to
everyone or Id have lines at the door. Has never happened to me at
office or home (cable modem).

One
was AOL, but it is also happening on campus across the network. Also
my time out is 15 minutes and they are not on that long (confirmed by
instructor who watched this happen.)

Are
these users by chance on AOL, some Earthlink, or connecting via
Satellite?

webmail
Im running 8.02 and have users
reporting being knocked of web mail after logging in (usually at the compose
screen). (Messages like page expired, cant refresh and sends them
to the log in screen.) If my memory serves me right (and it doesnt many
times these days), this indicates bad (dated) web templates. I thought
I installed new templates after the 8.01 patch. Before I start messing
with things, is there a file date or other indicator I could check to see
which ones I have? (BTW searched archives and
RTM.)
Thanks,
John
