Eric, Since so many people run imail successfully, I wouldn't hesitate to think that this is a local configuration problem on my end. Could we further diagnose what's happening locally? The logfile is fairly straightforward as you would expect but doesn't show too much behind the scenes action.

I will see at what point this occurs and what has happened prior to this. Im hoping to move towards a solution at this point. Now running 8.03 with the same problems. Andrew -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of R. The *only* time that IMail should use an A record for sending E-mail is if it has already queried for the MX record, and has been told that the MX record does not exist. If there is a DNS timeout or any other issue when looking up the MX record, IMail should re-queue the E-mail and try it later. Older versions of IMail (pre-7.04, it seems) would incorrectly use the A record in certain situations (I believe it would be if the MX records were tried, but could not be reached). -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers.
