I've got a VP sending out "please update your address book"
messages to everyone via plaxo.com.

Anyone heard of them ?

Here's the deal -- you get the E-mail from your VP, figure if he did it he probably wants you to do it. You go and download Plaxo, and of course don't read the fine print. As your punishment for not reading the fine print, Plaxo gets to spam everyone in your contact book. Of course, the spam is disguised as a "update your information" E-mail -- but gets the word out about Plaxo.

When I get these, I send a polite E-mail to the *real* person sending it (if you just hit "reply", your E-mail goes to Plaxo), letting them know what they just did.
