I have 2 hard drives.
I want to seperate something off from the hard drive/partition that Imail is in.
The question is, would I be better off putting the user email boxes on the second drive, or putting the spool directory on the second drive...
the two big disk i/o consumers are spool/ and the mailboxes, so having them on separate drives is best. if you plan on heavy webmail, then spool/web is also voracious.
then, within the drives, spool/ should be on it it own dedicated partition, which is freqently cleaned and defragged. same for the mbx partition, or spool/web.
limit max msg and mbx size to something reasonbable
