Yes, I am using VNC (free) locally. But I mean, VNC needs the client installed in the 'be controlled machine' or client AND server or 'controller machine'. AWRC does not need any client install, just a few ports open. it's of course weaker than VNC, it's not encrypted,... it's sooooo easy.
