Help. This one user keeps getting these error messages about an unknown
host. However, if I send a message to that user/host there is no problem,
the mailbox is there, the message arives in the mailbox for j.ashberry.

The problem is:

20031126 173320 127.0.0.1       SMTPD (00C700A2) [194.109.163.248] RCPT TO:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED];
[EMAIL PROTECTED]; m.bl

That isn't a valid E-mail address. The user is trying to send to an E-mail address of "<[EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; m.bl". It looks like their mail client has accidentally combined multiple addresses into one. If they are separate addresses, there should be one log file entry for each one.

11/26/2003 17:33:22 Qd5d000c700a23a5f Msg failed MAILFROM (Domain has no MX
or A records.). Action=IGNORE.

p.s. Why would it fail the MAILFROM test, it's just a Windows 2000 machine
in out network sending mail to the server.

If you look at it closer, it says "Domain has no MX or A records" -- with several spaces after "Domain". The problem is that there is a null (blank) domain, since the return address is bogus.
