You mention it happens when using webmail... As well as with IMAP... I
have seen a corrupt mailbox cause similar behavior.  Corrupt mailboxes
seem all too common for our users which use webmail or Imap (which is
not too many), most of our users use POP3 without problem.

We use IMAP and our clients are various versions of outlook from 2000
-2003 with latest service pack and updates installed. I ve seen this
issue happened myself useing Imail webmail. This has happened once or
twice before i passed it off as a fluke by now it has happened to our VP
and it's time i need to find a answear :>
