We're running IMail Server 8.05
We've been having occasional problems where the SMTP service just stops
doing anything. The service shows as 'running', but the spool file just
keeps growing. Restarting the server (system) gets the spool file to empty
and mail flowing again.
I've looked in the log*.txt file and see that the last entry for SMTP
last night is 190842. This is close to the time that the big pile up of
messages in the spool file started. (There are entries for SMTPD, but not
SMTP.) This morning, the entries for SMTP start up again after I restarted
the SERVER.
Ideas on how I can prevent this from happening in the future?
