How were you able to obtain a list of the additional domains? It would be very handy to determine the names that are pointing to us!! Please, do tell your "secret"! ;)
We are using MSDNS on Windows 2003 server -- where the "secure cache against pollution" checkbox is checked by default (i have verified it is checked, as well). It would appear that unless there's a problem with this version of msdns, that we're secured against problems associated with being an open recursive DNS server at this time. We've also discovered that at least a few of these names belong to clients of our partner company -- they never told our partner company that they set up these names, and (as you have surmised) they are not (yet)in use. He's going to take care of this today, so that we can stop the errors from appearing in our DNS logs. thanks once again! marc > -----Original Message----- > From: R.
