We wrote a custom application for a customer that allows them to easily send us jobs. The application runs on their workstations, and when it submits the job to us, it sends two email messages through our Imail SMTP service. The problem is, neither message gets delivered (one is supposed to go to us, and the other goes to the customer).
I suspect it has something to do with the relay options for SMTP. I set it to "Relay for local hosts", and created the "accept.txt" file and placed it in the top directory for Imail. The accept.txt file includes the domain of the customer (because both of the email messages use the local user's email address as the "from" address in the message). So, I'm led to believe that the SMTP server is supposed to relay all of our outgoing messages, as well as handle these two messages that get sent by every submission of this application. Has anyone had a problem like this? Does anyone have any insights on what I might be missing?
