Hello,
I am running a web server / application server
(ColdFusion) / database server / mail server. Unfortunately I do not have
any hardware (or budget) available to set up more machines to take the load off
of this one. Therefore, all of the services running on the machine need to
compete from processing power.
Right now I have a user that is sending 75 messages
every 5 minutes to a mailing list of about 50000 people. This has been
going on for two days. During this time, the Imail Queue Mgr has been
using 70-90% of the processor and is therefore affecting the other things the
machine needs to be able to do.
Are there any settings that would allow me to
throttle the Queue Manager service to use less of the processor? Any other
suggestions on what I can do to help this situation?
Thanks,
