Those come from other mailservers, that "do their own thing." Most likely, your mailserver said "EHLO mail.theplanet.com" (or something similar), but your reverse DNS is set to MY-IP-BACKWARDS.reverse.theplanet.com.
it could also be that the PTR hostname and its A record don't match, meaning that anybody could forge mx5.aol.com as the PTR hostname of the sending IP, but when looking up the A record for mx5.aol.com (if it resolves), it doesn't match that the sending IP.
ie, an IP having a PTR record is insufficient.
