Hey all. I have put iMAIL on my second server in as many weeks and just
had the same NIC lockup problem. I had a brand new Dell Server with
Windows 2000 server (latest service packs) and iMAIl 8.05 hot fix 2. The
machine stopped all traffic from any outside connections. No ping
reponse..zilch. I would reboot the server and everything would work
fine. After this happened too many times I thought the OS OR the NIC
card may have a problem. I moved iMAIL over to an existing production
machine with Windows 2003 Server. (I had it point to a Win 2000 for
dns)and today had the same problem. Only thing I can tie this to is
iMAIL. I believe (not 100%) that this lockup would happen after mass
emails from my clients (had someone send out 8000 last night). I am
frustrated and needless to say my clients are as well. Any ideas of what
to do next? I reloaded the OS on my new server and tested the NIC and
diagnostics says it is fine. I don't want to stick this back out there
and fight the same problem. Help.
