Sounds like everything is set correctly, the last things that I would try is downloading the current NIC drivers and or install a new NIC. With that said, I would rule out the hardware and start focusing on software (IMail). I'm running IMail on Compaq servers and I don't have NIC issues, Doug in a previous post suggested it, maybe give it a shot.
I wish I could be more helpful! The server has static routable addresses assigned. The server is a standalone in a workgroup. I tried to shutdown a bunch of services and restart them and the same thing. Only when I reboot will it start working. FYI..all the servers are dell and I have tried enabling the secondary NIC and using that and the same thing happens. I am running out of ideas. CA
