That's awesome, well not for you, but finally someone that has had the same experiences that I have with respect to the SPAM filter not doing as good a job on aliases as it should. In fact, I actually find that the SPAM that gets through to the user even has an x-header that the rules should have caught! Perhaps it's a combination of the SPAM filter and rules not working properly on aliases, if at all?
So back to my original question, does 8.1 do any better job of filtering SPAM on aliases? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Hostmaster Online Services AS Sent: Friday, April 02, 2004 10:26 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Re[2]: [IMail Forum] SPAM filtering with 8.1 I have one domain redharvest.com that only contains aliases! My primary domain Norway.com has no aliases! Redharvest.com received 60% more spam than Norway.com The same spam that the filter has caught on Norway.com goes trough to redharvest.com Regards Roar -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Sanford Whiteman Sent: 2. april 2004 20:18 To: Hostmaster Online Services AS Subject: Re[2]: [IMail Forum] SPAM filtering with 8.1 > I have experienced that my alias gets more Spam than other accounts! That really is not scientific. You'll have to do much better if you want to establish a functional difference. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.mailmage.com/download/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/Release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
