Currently our ISP hosts our email services for our company's two domains. On Friday afternoon I am going to call our ISP and have them change the DNS records to point to my new Imail server. I want to make sure I've gotten things configured correctly before I do this. So, if you see something wrong, let me know.
Imail 8.05 HF3 hosting two domains, each with its own IP Address. The firewall will map the two Internet IPs to two internal ip addresses. I have ports 25, 143, 389, 8000, 8001, 8383, 8484 open (incoming) (Using IMAP, LDAP, and WebMail. Not using POP) No mail relay. We're running Symantec AV. I guess from here, the ISP needs to create an A record, an MX record, and a PTR record for each domain. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to disable the AV and AntiSpam until I'm sure things are ok. I don't want to have the smtp service crashing on the first day, ya know? Thoughts? We've been testing internally for about a month, and all seems fine. Any crucial last minute checks I should do?
