In 8.05 and earlier it's on the Advanced tab of SMTP under Services. In later
versions it was removed from the GUI but is in the
registry. You'll have to search the archives or IPswitch's KB to find the key/value
and either change or remove it.

Ok ok. I'll change Imail.
I'm looking in the advanced smtp and I can't see anything specifically
related to <> senders.
Any idea where it is?
I know, I know, RTFM!

That is because you told IMail to reject them.

Now, it is in the Advanced SMTP settings, or possibly demoted to a registry
hack.

Well, if you want no trouble, just disconnect the ethernet cable. :)

The RFCs require that you accept bounce messages and other automated
messages using "<>" as the return address; only a very, very small
percentage of illegitimate mail uses that, and if you block them, you get
listed in a spam database (http://www.rfc-ignorant.org)! It causes other
admins to do your work for you, which they really don't like.
