I can't figure this one out... My PC is running WindowsXP Pro, using Outlook and 'The Bat!' for email, and is running Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 9.0. It would appear I have Netsky.P on the system, Symantec just keeps it from propagating and emailing itself out. I've run the removal tool, I've run full scans, and they come up with zilch... However I keep getting new copies of it popping up. Previously SAVCE would stop it in the temp folder, I had about 20K copies of it yesterday, after turning on the built in email-scanner I maybe get one every few hours. I can't figure out where this thing is hiding or where it is coming from, I've checked the Symantec Antivirus Console for all the machines in my network and I don't see anyone else with an infection...
Any ideas?
Thanks, Sam
Did you turn off the system restore and run the removal tool from "safe mode"?
