I may be incorrect but someone will point this out. I believe that Raid 5
keeps on humming along while raid 1 requires a reboot of the server in the
event of drive failure. Raid 5 should simply allow for a hot swap
replacement of a drive and everyone's happy.

And Raid1 does not? Boy, some one sure does not like reading all the posts
about poor performance with Raid5 vs. Raid1.
