I've spent 1 1/2 days trying to get this ridiculously
vague and badly documented list server set up and I'm
finally ready to give up and ask for your help!
Let's say I want to create a list called my-list.
On the list's "general" tab is a space for the list
owner's email address. I entered
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
That email address did not pre-exist. Imail
automatically created an alias of
[EMAIL PROTECTED] that resolves to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] which creates an alias loop
when I try to send list commands to the list owner.
Imail also created an alias called my-list that
resolves to program imailsrv mydomain.com my-list.com.
How stupid...makes no sense at all! Can someone to me
what the my-list alias should resolve to and what the
my-list-owner should resolve too?
Next question I have is I entered a mailbox name for
digest messages. When I look at that mailbox it's
always empty even when I've sent messages that posted
to the list. How do I get that mailbox to collect
mail so that there is something there when the digest
scheduler runs? Does the local administrator account
have to be subscribed to the list and also to the list
as digest mode?
