Just thought I'd provide a little info that took me two hours to figure out. VirusScan 8.0 has a mass mailing prevention option under the Access Protection in the control panel. If I try and telnet to any address on port 25 it redirects to my mail server on port 514. I'm not sure where it gets the email server address from since I have several accounts setup on my computer pointing different mail servers. This may seem like an obvious thing to check but our virus software upgrades are automatic and we are in the middle of upgrading to active directory so we thought the blame would have been some AD policy.
