I can't find the connection to my original question, see subject.
The connection is that you asked if anybody has created a gateway with IMail, and my answer was that many people have.
Your subject adds more to that, regarding anti-virus and anti-spam, which my answer also discusses.
The build in antispam tools of IMail and the antivirus standard works perfectly for a few
hundret domains.
Why buy a mercedes, if you need a lexus only?
If you're happy with your Kia or Hyundai, that's fine.
But if you're looking for a safer car, there's the Volvo. For a faster car, there's the Mercedes. For a luxury car, there's the Lexus. There are different cars for different needs. Many people buy Kias or Hyundais -- usually because that is what they can afford (few people would have Kias and Hyundais if they could exchange them for other cars at no cost).
Since you're happy with the tools that you have, there's probably no need to get anything else (unless, of course, there are hidden problems -- for example, viruses that could get through your virus scanner, or a virus scanner that can cause all E-mail to stop because of a "virus communication failure", or your anti-spam is deleting E-mails that nobody realized were getting deleted).
