Let's get real, Scott's real problem is your solution not being inline with Declude's pricing model. If it were then he would attack you less.
If you check the archives, I haven't been attacking David or his product. Remember, he started this thread, with a post implying that Declude users would need to pay us to upgrade their software in order to detect this exploit (which is *not* true). So yes, there is some "pushing" both ways -- but this does have the advantage of ensuring that the truth comes out. If I say something about mxGuard that isn't completely accurate, he'll point it out, and if he something about Declude that isn't completely accurate, I'll point it out.
The issue isn't pricing -- in fact, his strategy is very similar to what mine was when I started this. When I started, it was impossible to protect an IMail server from relaying viruses for under about $5,000. So my product was about 10% of the competition. I was on the cusp of the new "cheap" philosophy (such as Google having 10,000 cheap servers rather than 500 expensive ones). I found that a small company could offer a much better product and service at a much better price than the competition. My business model worked, and worked very well.
Competition is a very good thing. I'm sure that David offers a good product (heck, out of 6 programs shown on our website, only 2 caught more than mxGuard), and his price certainly is very low.
