I think you are both at risk if IPSwitch ever decides to step up and incorporate similar programming into Imail. I think the next version will probably be there. Frankly, their spam filtering has come a long way so I was less inclined to buy anything and just use that. The Antivirus option was the clincher for me but since it was "value add" I wasn't interested in $1000 options. I do think that IPSwitch's pricing model for Antivirus is ridiculously overpriced though. I'll admit that my conspiracy theory is that viruses are created by antivirus companies. What better way to keep your business going than to create your own market? It hasn't been too long ago that you didn't need antivirus software and now you can't own a computer without it. The issue isn't pricing -- in fact, his strategy is very similar to what mine was when I started this. When I started, it was impossible to protect an IMail server from relaying viruses for under about $5,000. So my product was about 10% of the competition. I was on the cusp of the new "cheap" philosophy (such as Google having 10,000 cheap servers rather than 500 expensive ones). I found that a small company could offer a much better product and service at a much better price than the competition. My business model worked, and worked very well. Competition is a very good thing.
