I don't think so. The people, including Matrosity, that are complaining the most don't have very many licenses. I would bet that "old" subscription fee doesn't support building new products. So, you have to break the agreement by killing the product and moving the code into something else. This negates the need to provide the free upgrade which the agreement says we're entitled and makes us choose between moving on or paying up.
