FWIW, it looks like most of these issues are because of spam filters and or
rejecting mail from servers with no rDNS (reverse DNS records).  Also I
would recommend hardware default on the nic.

I've never really liked the cryptic 'catch all' MX connect fail log entries
either.  Should state why - if known.

Imail logging is weak in the area of smptd/smtp behavior.

While IMGate is chosen primarily because it offloads so much work from Imail, a huge secondary advantage of letting IMGate, rather than Imail, send/receive with Internet is the detailed postfix logging, without which Imail's troubleshooting is groping in the dark, as in this common case.
