I have a currently in-place iMail service agreement through March 2006 Mr. Karp (having renewed my service agreement early which would have expired in March 2005. You have a legal obligation to support me until then, as your website activated my service agreement and sent me a confirmation. If not - check with the lawyers.

Cheers,
Lee Drake

Subject: [IMail Forum] some misconceptions corrected

Dear forum folks:

I just wanted to step in and set straight a handful of misconceptions I've
been seeing here.

1. You have to purchase Ipswitch Collaboration Suite to get IMail updates
Not true. If you have a service agreement for IMail, you will receive all
the updates to IMail for as long as the agreement is in force.

2. If your service agreement is up, you can't use IMail anymore (aka, I
have to pay $10,000 just to keep using IMail)
Not true. If you bought IMail, you can use it according to the license,
which is perpetual. Updates and technical support are not, those come with
the service agreement. Some on the list have said that they are still using
IMail 6.0x, and nobody will stop them from continuing to do so.

3. Now that ICS is here, IMail will immediately cease to exist and never be
updated or supported
Not true. IMail and IMail service agreements are no longer being sold, but
support for IMail and updates to IMail will continue at least through
October 2005, when the last IMail service agreement expires.
