Trusted addresses do not have to authenticate.  That way if you have an SMTP gateway you can route traffic from it.

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Our server is relaying for spammers and I don't know why! Any help greatly appreciated!

I found the issue... The mail was originated on a trusted IP (one in the relay address list).  We have a customer with a trojan or something.  I've un-trusted that address.

However, I'm still confused.  I thougt a valid address was still required.

Our Imail server is set to "relay for addresses."  I discovered today it is relaying.  Don't know how long that has been the case.  The messages are stacking up by the hundreds in the queue and I'm at a loss...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
