You can enter these things in the text file versions of your zone located in the system32/dns folder and then tell MS DNS to "reload" the zone in order to apply the changes (update the serial number also if you want it to update secondaries). The MS DNS interface doesn't easily allow for such modifications, and the errors are confusing.  It definitely works when you edit the zone by hand and reload it.
