Thanks for the email. What you are saying does make sense.

We have 1 domain with over 2500 accounts, and the other 3 have no more than
100 each. I don't really want to have an additional 2500 accounts in the
other domains, even if they won't be accessed.

Thanks for the help....maybe I'll have to look another solution...?

Chris

Depends on what you mean. IMail will, in a sense, OVER-distinguish.
Each AD user will have a mailbox @ each virtual host. If you don't
have any overlapping usernames (that is, you don't have
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]) and are willing to deal with the
knowledge that there will be unused mailboxes that will still accept
mail at the envelope, you may be happy with the setup.

No go. All OUs will be used, as IMail uses the downlevel SAM API,
which flattens the namespace.

With extensive custom programming, it is possible. We did this several
years ago using LDAP and were fairly happy with it -- then the clients
moved to Exchange, which eliminated the need for the custom solution,
as IMail was became just a store-and-forward server (and thus
exchange2aliases was born).
