Sanford, I did turn on the smtp log. I will provide it in my next email.
However, attached is a document: sending from exchange to the internet (yahoo.com) - NO PROBLEM. It goes first to imail and imail sends it to yahoo.com. bblinet1.burberryusa.com is my imail server and newyork.burberryusa.com is the exchange server. The imail server is fronting in the internet. Thank you. Adriel F. Luzuriaga Burberry - I.T. Okay, just double-checking, as other technologies have come along since I last contirbuted that KB article. > This is the logs. But I do not know yet where to find the SMTP log > in exchange. Look under the 'Default SMTP Virtual Server' and find the 'Logs' section. They may be currently off. Turn them on and you'll get a text file in the referred directory. > Please see attached (sending SMTP from command lines) That's not enough info. You need to provide the server's internal response to the connection from IMail -- in the logs. It would, however, be helpful to see the same Telnet connection made to the Exchange box. Remember, you're setting up a connection between two servers. You don't know which server is exhibiting the primary problem. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release / Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange or IMail mailboxes into IMail Aliases! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/downloa d/release/ http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/ldap2aliases/download/re lease/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
