I run a very small IMail server (2K emails/day) and TcpView is certainly
"energetic" on it. I'd think on a busy server it would be nearly unusable.
What's your trick?

Dan

To quickly troubleshoot connection issues, I keep a
copy of this slick freeware program on the quick-launch
toolbar of all my servers:

http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/TcpView.html

It's basically a standalone real-time graphical netstat on
steroids. Includes info on which process opened the connection.

I also find this invaluable to reassure against
backdoors and other suspicious activity.
