How about the other way around, if I deny access to all IP's except my
trusted IP's and I have enabled "No relay" will it deny SMTP for
someone on a trusted IP that doesn't have an account (can't SMTP
AUTH)? What I'm trying to achieve is to solve the issue with spammers
bypassing my IMGate's and attacking Imail directly. If the above
works, I could be generous with the IP's I allow access knowing that a
non-account still can't relay through the server.

How can I solve this issue?
