Hi, I’m kind of married to 3com and Dell for my switches.
If I want a managed switch, I buy 3com. The Dell powerconnect series of
switches works well for an unmanaged switch, and it’s very competitively
priced. Ro

Behalf Of Travis Rabe I am
looking at upgrading/replacing some switches. I currently use NetGear and
while they have been pretty reliable it seems they just drop packets for no
good reason. I would like something a little more robust and less
“home user.” Of course, Cisco’s would be great, but
that isn’t in the budget. Are the newer NetGear’s
better? More reliable? Is there a model anyone recommends in
particular? Or is there another brand you recommend? I have never
had luck with LinkSys, but maybe they are better now since Cisco bought
them? Any input on that? It
just needs to be a simple switch, unmanaged. However, if the price is
right, I would like a managed L2 or L3 switch. Thanks! Travis |
