Right. If an attachment is a raw Linux text file, it will have just LFs,
which is perfectly fine. The RFCs are very clear that there is no required
format for text bodies. And if it is a bare 8bit file (not recommended, but
legal), changing it would make real trouble. (This about adding extra bytes
into a ZIP file...) If some mail client is causing problems with that, *it*
is the problem. OTOH, if the header has bare LFs, the client is annoying (it
should handle errors better), but it doesn't have to work on screwed up
messages. Even TF has to give up on misstructured messages sometimes.
