You've answered your own question :-)
okay, i just dumped 300 known bogus users into this.
about 50 of them are e mail id numbers that got harvested
by a crappy harvester, and the rest are users that have
been gone for at least 5 years.
and now i'm logging something like 50 spamtrap hits a minute
or so.
i have it set for 60 minutes, but i'm not sure how this works?

now the question is, what is it doing?
the program just stuffs the ip in memory and counts it down for an hour? or?
i.e. 198.172.80.55 hit the spamtrap. so what's it rejecting it with?
(it didn't add it to anything i can see?
(and what's the difference between a 550 and a 554?)
