Is anyone still running the MMS SMTPRcv service? That service has started hanging multiple times per week for me now. Other than that things seem to be working, but the service has hung multiple times in the same day occasionally. I only have one IMS running now, but it is great for what it does and has been the most reliable server in my data center until recently. But have been unable to determine what is causing this problem so far.
thanks for all the responses.

anyone looked at hMailServer as a possible replacement for IMS?

Hi Ted! Yes, I am still here and probably many others.

I do wish IMS had other features, but I am reluctant to switch because I have written some Windows software that is customized to work with IMS' format.

Right now the software is very personalized to my domain, but if it's to be any good it should work in anyone's domain as releasable software. So that's what I'm doing.

I am rewriting the software from the ground up to do way more. Naturally, these are features I dearly wished for but cannot find in other packages. Mainly features around full mailboxes, one user subscribed to several mailing lists, auto-detecting domains that have blacklisted you, and many other features I desire as as a mailing list admin and postmaster.

Of course, to be useful to most admins I'd have to write it in such a way that it's a simple matter to adapt it to other MTAs because, let's face it, relatively few people use IMS.

Once I've got it in any kind of showable state, I was looking forward to asking if anyone here wanted to check it out, assuming there was anyone left in the list. :)

Anyway, back to the original question - anyone else here aside from us chickens?
