I, too, totally agree with Nik. Moonlighting tantamounts to cheating the company. And customers who encourage it are stealiing.
Besides the cost of specialised equipment / tools, qualified engineers also have to be certified regularly at a cost of USD 50 to USD 250 per certification. There IS a large cost involved in maintaining a professional service centre.
