Thanks Neil ji for stressing that *B. spinosa* and *B. squamosa* (*B. retusa*) are separate species. (I had come to understand that the spines are shed as the tree matures, thus easily convinced that the two species are synonymous). I will correct my notes at earliest. Regards. Dinesh
