I have written to them through email. No reply till now. My son along with
four cousins have flown to Kashmir to help in food supplies and medicine.
My elder brother, his wife, my elder bhabi are stuck with 20 people more in
a house in Balgarden, Srinagar Kashmir. The situation is really grim. Today
they managed to go to the area in two army boats. With no evacuations
started yet in this area (army concentrating in other worst affected areas)
people are really frustrated. They started pelting stones on the boat, army
wanted to play safe, so my son and cousins waded through 5.5 ft deep water
for nearly 1 km to reach house, brought back elder bhabi. Others will be
brought tomorrow. With no accommodation available they have been shifted to
a Gurdwara near Airport.
With Lakhs of people still stranded, no information regarding our
colleagues including Prof. Munshi and Anzar.
