The pods in Dinesh's plants are without any calyx covering:

Pods of Crotalaria caylcina are supposed to be "oblong, black when ripe,
2.5 x 0.8 cm, hairless, *equal to calyx*", according to An Excursion Flora
of Central Tamilnadu. So, it doesn't look like it will be C. calycina.
