Yazdy ji Here is some characters of S. viarum from Flora of china: armed with recurved prickles 2-5 × 1-5(-8) mm and sometimes with needlelike prickles 1-4 mm........Corolla white or green.....................pale yellow, globose, 2-3 cm in diam.
Even the key in Flora of China separates S. viarum and other species on the basis of pale yellow fruit. There are numerous photographs on net with pale yellow fruits, none with red http://www.floridasnature.com/images/Tropical%20Soda%20Apple_Solanum%20viarum%20Dunal.jpg http://zipcodezoo.com/photographers/John%20W.%20Everest.asp http://www.forestryimages.org/browse/detail.cfm?imgnum=5290026 http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Solanum_viarum_1149076.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Solanum_viarum_1149076.jpg http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/c23rrkIiRh4TmwOIgnY1lg -- Dr. Gurcharan Singh Retired Associate Professor SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 Res: 932 Anand Kunj, Vikas Puri, New Delhi-110018.
