Hi,
is anyone using AFS 3.5 (p3.11) for NT successfully? We tried to upgrade three
NT4SP4/5 boxes from 3.4a10 and failed. Authentication with "klog" works and
fileservice seems faster to me than before.
The rest is horrible. The explorer integration doesn't work at all. I suppose a
file "afs_fme.dll" is missing. Single logon doesn't work. Neither the
/Start/Programs/IBM AFS/Client/Authentication work nor .../Control Center show
up. The control panel elements for the configuration of Client and Control
Center doesn't appear at all.
I didn't expect such big mistakes. Maybe there is something wrong with our
installations. Or is there something wrong with changing the name of the
product from Transarc-AFS into IBM-AFS?
BTW: I just heard from a collegue that 34a.11 is not better: The explorer
integration of AFS commands disappeared and submounts cannot be edited anymore.
Any advice is welcome.
