This is a great idea.
> RSH : Under HPUX 9.01 this doesn't work.
Seems to work for me under HPUX 9.01 and AFS 3.2b. In AFS versions prior
to 3.2b, you had to rename the binary to 'remsh'. However, in versions prior
to 3.2, this would cause rsh to fail because it tests for argv[0].
RLOGIN: Does not work for HP's

This burns us too. We are forced to use 'CC -ptr/tmp'.
How about products also:
DYALOG APL by Dyadic on all Platforms:
Dyalog checks to see if an apl file is remote. It fails to see
afs as remote and consequently does not fsync after writes. This
causes shared file usage to become corrupted. The bug has been reported
to Dyadic who is working on a fix.
ORACLE 7.0.12 install on Suns:
Orinst fails with an 'unknown user while tring to get group' error
message. This is caused by the addition of the PAG to the users group
list. Exec /bin/login.old to avoid. A report was made with Oracle.
