Dear AFS Folks,

It is important to talk with the _right_ people to get things done.

Gary Gerchak is in DCE marketing. He is not in IBM Transarc Labs.
I am not sure that the DCE marketing people would like to see AFS
continue to grow and be such a success with customers.

IMHO, AFS is a work of genius and has a deservedly large and loyal
customer base due because AFS is so useful, robust and reliable.
The excellent Transarc AFS product support group in Pittsburgh
has also made a key contribution to AFS customer satisfaction
as have Transarc Education.

IBM would be "killing the golden goose" if it did not listen to its AFS customers
and respond to their business needs.

Unfortunately, Transarc has previously stated that they do _not_ monitor
[EMAIL PROTECTED] nor respond to requests on it.

Therefore, please talk with Transarc through your normal support/sales contact.
If you don't know who that is, see: http://www.transarc.com/Corporate/

Otherwise, go to the top.

Make yourself heard!

It's not."

PS I know that the current release of AFS 3.6 for Linux runs with kernel 2.2.16
However, we will soon see a new release of RedHat and I hope Transarc will
be able to update their AFS linux release for the newer kernels.
