How, exactly, does one use symbolic links in a non-abusive way?


You also missed the point that having a permanently mounted
"root.othercells" saves messing around with the coventional
method of mounting root.afs temporarily (eg /afs/.@cell/temp/)
in order to mount/unmount foreign cells.


"root.othercells" works well here for AIX, Linux, and Windows clients.
