Hi Tac,
Yea, I can't wait to dump NTMail. I'm using the Monitor program constantly at the
moment to catch spammers, so I do agree it's nifty (can't say I'm happy about it
though :). There is a win32 program out there called Tail97 (I think) which will
"tail" a log file ala the UNIX tool by the same name. This means it will keep watch
on a text file you specify, and show you any new lines that are added. Pretty much
identical to the various Log views in the Monitor proggie. But there's no way to
watch individual threads like the Monitor also does.
How did your list server work out? One of the barriers I face in going completely iMS
at this point is that I don't have time to write a decent list server using iMS to
replace NTList. I only got a couple lists... but I can't just drop 'em :)
My other problem is that to completely eliminate relaying I need some sort of SMTP
authentication because all my clients come in from outside IPs. I might have to go
with POP before SMTP for now. Ah well. But anyway, I'm glad it's worked out well for
you, that's encouraging!
Take it easy,
-Max
